Vision BI met with a Queensland accounting firm who was struggling with manual systems and desperate for better ways to manage their practice.
Prior to Vision BI’s consultation, the firm’s administration staff and accounting team were spending two or more days each week preparing WIP and debtor reports, timesheet delinquency reports, and productivity and billing reports for various managers.
Staff, managers, and partners all relied on this convoluted process to make timely business decisions. Reports were commonly out of date by the time they reached their destination, and often included errors due to the manual processing.
Outcomes
Vision BI’s team created a direct integration between their Xero API, timesheet, and payroll management SQL database
We enabled complete automation of their reporting, transforming dull excel spreadsheets into a highly visual and interactive reporting environment
Vision BI implemented a powerful feature called Row Level Security (RLS), automatically filtering reports to show staff only their personal performance data, while ensuring managers and partners could view data for direct teams or across the entire firm
Going one step further, we embedded the interactive reports within Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, empowering collaboration between the firms' various business and advisory units!
